Easter Island: Mysteries of the Moai Tour (6 Days)

An Expert-Led Ancient Mysteries Expedition with Anyextee

Aug 31 – Sept 5, 2026 | 6 Days / 5 Nights

Overview & Date

Easter Island—the most remote island on Earth.
Here, massive stone statues still defy explanation. Were the moai dragged, rolled… or “walked” into place, as indigenous tradition insists?

And then there is rongorongo—a written script found nowhere else on Earth, still undeciphered.

But perhaps the deepest mystery of all is this:
Who were the original people of Easter Island—and just how far back does their story go?

From the moment you arrive, many describe the same sensation: stepping onto ancient, storied ground that still carries memory. Some say it’s so palpable that you can feel the energy here.

Nearly a thousand moai stand across the island—silent, immense, and unresolved. Archaeology offers theories, but no single explanation fully accounts for what remains on the ground. This expedition is designed for those drawn not to tidy conclusions, but to the mystery itself.

Why Easter Island?

  • One of the most isolated inhabited places on Earth

  • Home to nearly 1,000 massive stone statues with no universally accepted explanation for how they were moved

  • A culture whose origins—and true antiquity—are still debated

  • A living archaeological puzzle where oral tradition, physical evidence, and unanswered questions collide

  • A powerful stand-alone expedition or a natural extension from our Peru & Bolivia Ancient Mysteries Tour

Questions That Still Defy Explanation

  • How did massive stone statues—some weighing over 80 tons—move across volcanic terrain with no wheels, no metal tools, and no draft animals… while island tradition insists they walked?

  • Where did the original inhabitants of Easter Island come from—and how far back does their story truly go?

  • And what knowledge was recorded in rongorongo, Easter Island’s undeciphered script, found nowhere else on Earth?

Rather than presenting Easter Island as a closed case, we approach it as an unresolved chapter in a much larger human story.

Each day on the island, you’ll join Anyextee to explore not just what we see—but what may still be missing from the story.

On This Journey, You’ll Explore

  • Who the moai truly represent—ancestors, guardians, deified leaders… or something else entirely

  • Why most moai face inward, as if positioned to observe the living rather than the sea

  • How statues weighing tens of tons were moved across volcanic terrain with no wheels, no metal, and no draft animals—while local tradition insists they walked

  • What lies beneath the moai, revealed through excavations showing full bodies buried deep underground, carved with symbols hidden for centuries

  • Where the original inhabitants may have come from—and whether the island’s story extends further back than commonly believed

  • The mystery of rongorongo, an undeciphered written language found nowhere else on Earth

  • Why certain stone structures resemble Inca polygonal masonry from ancient Peru—despite being separated by thousands of miles of ocean

The Mysteries of the Moai with Anyextee is not a sightseeing trip—it’s an initiation into unanswered questions. This journey is designed for those drawn to mystery, ancient knowledge, and places that refuse to be fully explained. You won’t just hear the stories. You’ll stand where the evidence still speaks—and decide for yourself.
